Why does dlv campaign for the climate and nature?
“TOGETHER FOR THE COUNTRY.” This slogan not only adorns our dlv logotype, but also rounds off our dlv manifesto, with which we commit ourselves to these values:
“We are at home in the field. In the barn. In the forest or garden. This is where we live and work: With nature. For nature.”
It is no secret that the nature our target group and readership carefully tend to every day must be preserved. dlv is committed to protecting the climate so that those who follow us (and farm successors) can also live with and from nature.
We are not interested in adorning ourselves with seals that are more illusion than reality. That is why we deliberately choose the term “dlv climate effectiveness” for our activities that promote the protection of the climate and nature.
Background:
Preserving ecological and social values is firmly anchored in dlv's corporate culture. For the first time in 2021 (and annually since then), a greenhouse gas balance based on the internationally recognized standard “The GHG Protocol: A Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard” for emissions was created for this purpose. This balance includes the climate-relevant greenhouse gases that fall under the company's “operative control”. The data basis for the calculation came from ecoinvent 3.6 and the IPCC 2013 assessment method (GWP 100a). In line with the motto: Recognize – reduce – offset, the topic of sustainability is the operational responsibility of the management.
